The Griswold Wolverine wrestling team competed in the Morgan Duels over the weekend. The team did not have wrestlers competing in the 120,126,and 132 lb. weight class. Griswold first took on Waterford. The Wolverines won in the 170,182,195, 220, and 285 lb. weight classes. Griswold came up just short, losing to Waterford 45-33. The Wolverines then faced Morgan. Griswold won the 106,138,160,170,182,195, and 220 lb. weight classes. Morgan edged out the Wolverines 42-40.The Wolverines then took on Montvillle. Griswold struggled, winning only 5 weight classes. They lost to Montville 54-26. The Wolverines finally took on East Haven. Cadan Odom defeated Fabricio Bugatti in the 145 lb. weight class. Johnny Falco defeated Gunner Horton in the 195 lb. class. Dane Taylor beat Richard Sheehan in the 285 lb. weight class. Taylor won 3 out of 4 of his match-ups. Griswold will take on New London on Wednesday.
