The Griswold Wolverines faced the St. Bernard Saints on Tuesday night. The Wolverines were without Max Gregory, who was out with an illness. Griswold got off to a slow start, giving up 23 points in the first quarter. The Wolverines trailed by eight points at the start of the second. Hunter Bailergeon, of St. Bernard’s put up 13 points in the first half. This helped extend the Saints’ lead to 16 at halftime. Griswold never gave up. Pharoh Curtis scored nine points in the third quarter. The Wolverines trailed 51-39 after three quarters. Stanley Maynard of the Saints scored seven points in the fourth quarter, and ruined any attempt for a Wolverine comeback. Griswold lost 77-57, They have lost two straight games. Pharoh Curtis lead the Wolverines with 21 points. Nick Gileau scored 14 points, and Matt Dembinski had 11 points. The next game for the Wolverines is Thursday, when they travel to Putnam, to take on the Clippers.
