In February 2015, Ronnie Music Jr., 45, of Waycross, Georgia, won $3 million on a lottery scratch off game. That didn’t seem to be enough money for Music, who decided to spend millions of dollars of his lottery winnings to purchase crystal meth, and then resell the drugs for an even bigger profit. Investigators were alerted of Music’s drug activities and caught Music and his co-conspirators with 11 pounds of crystal meth, valued in excess of $500,000, packaged and ready for sale. Federal agents seized over $1 million worth of meth, a large cache of firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition , multiple vehicles and over $600,000 in cash. Presented with evidence that Music conspired with others to possess and distribute kilograms of methamphetamine, Music pled guilty to federal drug and gun charges and faces decades in a federal prison or a possible life sentence behind bars
