34-year old William Frascatore, of Shelton, CT, called police on Friday to report a home invasion.

Frascatore told police that two men came into his home, surprised him in his bedroom and tied him up while rummaging the house. Frascatore reports the robbers took jewelry, his cell phone and an older silver Honda Accord.

While police were investigating the home, they discovered a marijuana growing operation in his basement. Police obtained a search warrant and seized several marijuana plants, dried marijuana and growing equipment.

Frascatore has been charged with cultivation of marijuana, operating a drug factory, possession of over 4 oz of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, use of drug paraphernalia and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.

Police say they are still investigating the reported home invasion.
