Wauregan Man Arrested For Second Time In a Week For Drug Related Charges

On Wednesday January 17, 2018 at approximately 4:56 P.M., the Plainfield Police Department was investigating a report of a missing person when Dispatch received a tip from another Law Enforcement agency that a green Ford F-150 pickup truck was enroute to Winco Scrap Metal on Ward Avenue. Occupants within the vehicle were believed to have information on the whereabouts of the missing person.
Shortly after receiving the tip, Officer’s spotted the vehicle traveling east on Ward Avenue before pulling into the Winco scrap yard. Due to numerous previous law enforcement interactions, Officers recognized one of the passengers as Kyle Wood, 24, of Wauregan, CT. While speaking to Wood about the ongoing investigation, Wood admitted to being in possession of narcotics. Officers subsequently located multiple narcotics including heroin.
Wood was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with two counts of Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Narcotics Without Original Container. Wood was held on a $5,000.00 cash/surety bond. This is Wood’s second arrest by the Plainfield Police in under two weeks for narcotic related charges.
