Warrants Granted and Executed for Suspected Moosup Cocaine Dealer

On October 27, 2017 at approximately 6:43 PM the Plainfield Police Department arrested 39 Year old Dustin P. Stewart of Moosup for possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest was the product of an investigation into the illicit sale of cocaine in and around the Moosup Village of Plainfield. As a result of the investigation the Plainfield Police Department obtained two narcotics related search and seizure warrants. One for the person of Dustin P. Stewart and the second was for Stewart’s residence, #443 North Main St Moosup, CT.

Both warrants were executed on the above date and time. Stewart, who was located in parking lot of the Dollar General Store in Central Village, was subsequently searched and found to be in possession of approximately a half ounce of cocaine prepackaged for sale. While Officers were with Stewart at the Dollar General, additional members of the Plainfield Police Department executed the search warrant at Stewart’s residence. A search of the residence resulted in an additional one and a half ounces of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana and packaging material.

Stewart was held on a $50,000 bond pending his arraignment in Danielson Superior Court.

This is the second time in the last thirteen months that the Plainfield Police Department has arrested Stewart for narcotics related offenses. In September of 2016 Stewart was arrested when he was found to be in possession of in excess of three ounces of cocaine.
