VOTE GRISWOLD – Griswold Government and Education Budget Voting Happening On TUESDAY, MAY 24

ReferendumBallot2016Tuesday, May 24 is the day to cast your vote for the upcoming year’s General Government and Education budgets.

Here is the text from the Town of Griswold’s Web Site:

The Electors and Qualified Taxpayers of the Town of Griswold are hereby notified and warned that a Referendum will be conducted on Tuesday May 24, 2016 for a YES or NO vote on the Optical Scan Voting Machines on the following questions:

QUESTION #1

SHALL THE TOWN OF GRISWOLD APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $7,148,179 FOR THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017?

 

QUESTION #2

SHALL THE TOWN OF GRISWOLD APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $26,048,442 FOR THE BOARD OF EDUCATION BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017?

There are 2 polling locations.  District 1 is Town Hall, 28 Main St, Jewett City.  District 2 is Pachaug Town Hall, 879 Voluntown Road, Griswold, CT.  Polls will be open 6 AM TO 8 PM.
