A Community Networking Night has been scheduled for Monday, February 1st, at 6:30PM in the Voluntown Elementary School library.

Community Networking Night is an informal platform for groups and resident volunteers to get together to discuss community projects and share ideas. The first Community Networking Night was held a few years back and many community groups and town commissions shared common goals, but lacked the means to accomplish them on their own. At the first round table meeting, it was quickly learned that by working together and sharing information, more of these goals could be accomplished!

The February 1st Community Networking Night has been organized to seek community involvement and volunteers for community gardens, the Youth Service Bureau Juvenile Review Board, and the Voluntown Tercentennial planning.

Any community group, local business, or individual who is looking to get involved in community projects and volunteer is welcome to attend this meet up.

If you have any questions or suggestions,  please feel free to contact Tracey Hanson at thanson@voluntown.gov.
