From the Town of Voluntown Web Site:

The DOT will be installing signs on town roads starting the end of May/ beginning of June. This project is a result of the DOT reaching out to towns asking if they wanted to participate in a safety improvement project consisting of Horizontal Curve Treatments. This safety project is funded with a federal grant. Locations of the curve safety sign installations are: Bailey Pond Rd, Brown Rd, Campbell Mill Rd, Congdon Rd, Forge Hill Rd, Hodge Pond Rd, James Rd, Kinney Rd, Sand Hill Rd, Shetucket Turnpike, Wheeler Rd, Wylie School Rd. Some roads will also see yellow lines painted in the middle of the road at curves only, and/or white lines on the side, also at curves only. Line painting is planned to be done at night.
