***Updated*** Voluntown Crash Causes Serious Injuries, Lifestar Called

First responders were dispatched to the accident at 6:29pm and Life Star Helicopter at 6:39pm. There were a total of 3 occupants in the vehicle. 2 of the occupants refused medical treatment on scene. The third was taken via Life Star Helicopter to Hartford Hospital for serious injuries. There were ejections from the car but it has yet to be reported if it was only the occupant who was transported to Hartford. It’s also not known if that person was the driver or a passenger.
Voluntown Fire Department was on scene with an assist from Griswold Fire. The roadways are clear at this time. No identities have been released.
The accident is currently under investigation.
