Uncasville Man Prevents Griswold Woman From Making 911 Call, Then Runs Her Over

On 7/18/19, at approximately 12:07 AM, Troopers from Troop E Montville were dispatched to investigate the report of an assault that occurred at a residence in Griswold. Troopers spoke to both parties, both the suspect and the victim, it was determined that 33 year old Devin Lauver from Uncasville prevented 42 year old Jennifer Marciniak from Griswold from making an emergency 911 call. Lauver then proceeded to run over Marciniak with his vehicle multiple times causing injury. Lauver was placed under arrest for Disorderly conduct, Interfering with an Emergency Call, and 3rd degree assault. Lauver was transported to Troop E Montville where he was processed and released on a $5,000 cash/surety bond. Lauver was expected in court on 7/18/19 in Norwich.

Marciniak was treated for her injuries from Backus Hospital and released.
