Two Homeless People Arrested At Cumby’s in Plainfield… One sleeping by the… chill zone? Click to read

On September 13, 2016 at approximately 8:58 P.M., members of the Plainfield Police Department arrested Randy Valade, 37, and Gina Mineau, 47, both homeless of Moosup, CT.
Officers were dispatched to the Cumberland Farms located at 12 South Main St., Moosup, CT, after receiving a complaint of a male falling asleep while attempting to make a milkshake for approximately 40 minutes, along with a female slumped over on the wall located outside the building.
Upon arriving on scene Officers located the Mineau outside slumped over on the Cumberland Farms wall, and Valade inside sleeping in the “chill zone” with milkshake in hand.
Through investigation it was discovered that both Valade and Mineau were found to be in possession of numerous bags of heroin. Mineau was also in possession of Suboxone without a proper prescription. Both Valade and Mineau were subsequently placed under arrest. While being escorted to the cruiser Valade resisted Officers and had to be restrained prior to being secured in the cruiser.
Valade was subsequently charged with Possession of Narcotics (C.G.S. 21a-279(a) and Interfering with a Police Officer (C.G.S. 53a-167a). Valade was placed on a $10,000.00 cash/surety bond by the Plainfield Police Department.
Mineau was subsequently charged with two counts of Possession of Narcotics (C.G.S. 21a-279(a) along with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (C.G.S. 21a-267). Mineau was placed on a $5000.00 cash/surety bond by the Plainfield Police Department.
Both Valade and Mineau’s bonds were adjusted by the State of Connecticut Bail Commissioner to a Promise to Appear and they were released. Valade and Mineau are scheduled to appear at the Danielson Superior Court, G.A. 11, on 09/27/2016.
