Two Girls Are Dead After Truck Collides With Guard Rail and Catches Fire In Brooklyn

On Oct 14, 2019, at approximately 12:11 AM a car accident claimed the life of 2, 17 year old girls on North Society Rd, north of Creasy Rd in Brooklyn. The vehicle, a 2002 Ford pickup truck, and driven by a minor attempted, lost control of the truck going around a corner and collided with a guard rail then proceeded down into a ditch where the truck caught fire. The driver was sent to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The occupants Shawnna Wojnowski of Plainfield and Brenna Larson of North Grosvenordale, both only 17 years old were pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is under investigation. Next of kin was notified before this released was sent out to media.
The 2 young girls that died in the crash went to Ellis Tech in Danielson. The Principal for Ellis Tech, Mr. Migneault, has assured that there would be grief counselors on hand to assist with these tragic losses.
