Two Females Arrested On Moosup Footbridge For Possession of Narcotics

On June 30, 2016 at approximately 9:17 P.M., the Plainfield Police Department arrested Jamie Gervais, 25, and Kimberly Benjamin, 28, both of Moosup, CT.
While conducting a foot patrol of the foot bridge located in the area of Village Center Circle and River St., Moosup, CT, an Officer located both Gervais and Benjamin on the foot bridge which is closed after dark.
Through investigation it was discover that both Gervais and Benjamin were found to be in possession of numerous bags of heroin. It was also determined that Gervais had an active and valid court issued arrest warrant.
Gervais was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with Simple Trespass and Possession of Narcotics along with being served with a warrant for Failure to Appear 2nd Degree.
Benjamin was also placed under arrest and charged with Simple Trespass and Possession of Narcotics.
Both Benjamin and Gervais were held at the Plainfield Police Department on bonds and are scheduled to be arraigned at the Danielson Superior Court, G.A. 11, on 07/01/2016.
