Two Car Accident in Moosup Sends Multiple People to the Hospital

On March 1, 2018 at approximately 3:55 PM, Officers from the Plainfield Police Department responded to a two car motor vehicle accident with minor injuries on Prospect Street, in the Moosup section of Plainfield, Connecticut. Michael Stoliker, 20, of Southbridge, Massachusetts, was traveling eastbound on Ward Avenue when he failed to grant the right of way to a Subaru Impresa operated by Anthony Gogan, 22, of Plainfield, Connecticut, who was traveling west on Prospect Street. Stoliker attempted to make a left hand turn onto the I-395 north on ramp when he was struck the vehicle operated by Gogan who was traveling westbound and had the right of way. Due to the collision multiple occupants in Gogan’s vehicle were transported by American Legion to the Backus Hospital in Plainfield for treatment of possible minor injuries. Multiple occupants in Stoliker’s vehicle were transported by KB Ambulance to Day Kimball in Putnam for treatment of possible minor injuries.

This accident is still under investigation.
