Troop D QLTF Troopers Score Big On Cocaine Bust During Traffic Stop

On 09/16/2019 at approximately 6:43 pm, members of the Troop D – Quality of Life Task Force, and the Killingly and Brooklyn Resident Troopers Offices conducted a traffic stop of a 2004 Dodge Dakota for a motor vehicle violation. The traffic stop took place on RT 6 and South Main Street Ext. in the Town of Brooklyn. During the traffic stop, Troopers noticed several indicators of criminal activity and became suspicious that drugs may be present in the vehicle. Troopers requested consent to search the vehicle and consent was granted. The operator, 54 year old Robert Hebert, was found to be in possession of approximately one ounce of powdered cocaine prepackaged for sale and approximately $1,700 dollars in US currency which was seized. Hebert was transported to the Troop D Danielson barracks where he was charged with Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Narcotics with intent to sell. Hebert was released on a $5,000 dollar bond and will appear in Danielson Superior Court.  The court date was not released
