Earth Day in April was celebrated in a way in town that cleaned up Griswold and made it just a bit less cluttered and a little more clean. Volunteers from all over town were available for a few hours that would pick up large bulky waste that you may have no way to dispose of yourself, at no cost to the resident of Griswold. The town is going to offer another event, on November 3rd of this year where the fees are going to be waived for transfer station visits. The issue was voted on at the last Griswold Board of Selectman meeting, on Oct 9, the motion was carried unanimously.
