According to Griswold First Selectman Todd Babbitt, all of the plexi glass that needs to be installed in Town Hall for them to re-open has been installed. Babbitt is planning a staff meeting with department heads on Thursday afternoon to make sure that all staff members are on the same page as far as a re-open and operating procedure. Babbitt stated that the town hall will open for 2 weeks by appointment only to ramp up operations with the plexi glass in place. Babbitt did mention in the last Board of Selectmen meeting that COVID-19 cases have increased in Griswold as of late.
Selectman Jared Picco stated that he would like to see town hall open as quickly and as safely as possible. Picco also wants to make sure that the staff is comfortable as well with any re-open plans.
A date has yet to be set for re-open.
