Three Male Suspects Show Weapons in Armed Robbery of Voluntown Mobil Gas Station

Voluntown, CT. (August 25, 2016): Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Mobil station located at 251 Main St., Voluntown, CT.
On August 25, 2016 at approximately 2:49 a.m. troopers from Troop E-Montville responded to an activated burglary alarm at the Mobil station. Upon arrival troopers spoke with the store clerk and determined an armed robbery had occurred. Three male suspects entered the Mobil station, at least one was armed with a knife. The suspects left the scene prior to the trooper’s arrival with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects were described as three males, between 5’7” to 6’ tall, wearing dark color clothing, including hooded-type clothing, dark gloves and black sneakers. The suspects left the store on foot and proceeded across Main St. in the direction of Pendleton Hill Rd.
Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
