Three Heroin Overdoses Within 24 Hours Leads to One Death in Plainfield

In less than 24 house the Plainfield Police Department has responded to three overdose related calls that involved heroine. One of the three involved a male party being found deceased in the town.

On 03/19/18 at approximately 5:21 PM the Plainfield Police Department responded to Church Street in the Moosup section of town for the report of an overdose. The unresponsive female was treated with narcan and became responsive and was subsequently transported by American Legion Ambulance to Day Kimball Hospital. As medical personnel were clearing the scene at approximately 5:35 PM a second overdose was reported on Champagne Street where a male subject was located unresponsive. Medical personnel again administered narcan and the subject eventually became alert and was transported to Day Kimball Hospital.

On 03/20/18 at approximately 10:08 AM the Plainfield Police Department received a report of a possible deceased person in the Wauregan section of Plainfield. As officer investigated it appeared that this death may be opioid related.
