Teen Driver and Passenger Gets Minor Injuries in One Car Rollover in Moosup

On 08/23/16 at approximately 9:41 AM the Plainfield Police Department received multiple 911 calls of a one car motor vehicle rollover accident that occurred on Squaw Rock Road near the bottom of the hill where it intersects with Prospect Street.

Upon officers arrival it was learned that a 16 year old driver from Putnam, Connecticut, was operating a 2012 Subaru Outback south on Squaw Rock Road when it crossed the yellow dividing line and impacted an embankment which caused it to rollover. The vehicle came to final rest on the opposite side of the road and was upright.

Both the driverand her 5 year old passenger of Putnam were transported to Day Kimball Hospital for minor injuries.

Members of the Moosup Fire Department and American Legion Ambulance responded to the accident.

At this time the case remains under investigation.
