Sunday Afternoon Accident In Plainfield Sends Teen to The ER

On July 2, 2017 at approximately 2:12 PM members of the Plainfield Police Department, Central Village Fire Department, and American Legion Ambulance responded to a two car motor vehicle crash which occurred on East Main Street in the Central Village section of Plainfield. Upon arrival it was determined by officers on scene that eighteen year Megan McCrory was operating her 2010 Hyundai Elantra when she traveled off the Interstate 395 Exit Ramp, stopped at the stop sign, and then entered the intersection of East Main Street without yielding the right of way for oncoming traffic. McCrory subsequently struck a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe carrying Robert Tetreault, Beth Ann Tetreault, and a fourteen year old passenger. The fourteen year old passenger of the Santa Fe was transported to the hospital by American Legion Ambulance for possible injuries. Both vehicles were subsequently removed from the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
