Sterling Woman Suffers Injuries In Single Car Accident

On January 4, 2021 at approximately 7:33 AM, members of the Plainfield Police Department, American Legion Ambulance, and Moosup Fire Department responded to the scene of a one-car motor vehicle crash on Sterling Hill Road in the Moosup section of Plainfield, Connecticut.

Following an investigation, it was determined that a 2014 Nissan Frontier being operated by 27 year oldĀ  Rose Thompson of Sterling was traveling westbound in the area of 161 Sterling Hill Road when the vehicle lost traction, crossed over into the opposite lane of travel and crashed into a stone ledge located on the side of the roadway.

Thompson, along with two juvenile passengers involved in the crash were subsequently transported by members of the American Legion Ambulance to the Backus Hospital Emergency Center in Plainfield for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

This crash remains under investigation by the Plainfield Police Department.
