Danielson, CT.(April 20, 2016): The Connecticut State Police Troop D-Danielson Quality of Life Task Force (QLTF) seized 700 bags of heroin and arrested one person. Over the past several weeks troopers assigned to the Troop D QLTF developed information that Lori Ashmore was in possession of a large amount of heroin. It was reported that the heroin was being stored in Ashmore’s residence located at 93 Main Street, Apartment B, Killingly, CT, or in her vehicle, a black 2015 Hyundai Accent. On April 12, 2016 at approximately 7:20 pm, after conducting surveillance, troopers assigned to the Quality of Life Task Force and a member of the Killingly Resident Trooper’s Office conducted a “Knock and Talk” of the residence, and spoke with Ashmore. Ashmore gave troopers written consent to search both her residence and her vehicle which was parked outside of her apartment. A subsequent search of her residence revealed no contraband, however after a search of her vehicle troopers located 700 bags of heroin with an “NFL” stamp pre-packaged for sale in the trunk of her car. The heroin was seized and transported to Troop D where it was held as evidence. As a result of the search, troopers applied for and were granted an arrest warrant by the Danielson Superior Court for Ashmore. On April 20, 2016 at approximately 5:35 pm, troopers took Lori Ashmore into custody and transported her to Troop D where she was processed and held on bond pending her court date.
