A bus #1 was traveling northbound on Interstate 95 North on Saturday February 12 at approximately 8:22 AM, in the right lane of two lanes,
approximately 1 tenth of a mile north of Exit 89 in the town of Groton, CT. While in the traveling lane, the bus struck 38 year old David Voebel of Colchester. Emergency Responders arrived on scene and transported Voebel to L and M Hospital in New London, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Passengers were on the bus and their exact seating location is being determined at this time. Several passengers were transported to area hospitals for evaluation. IF ANYONE WITNESSED THIS ACCIDENT PLEASE CONTACT THE CONNECTICUT STATE POLICE
