State Police Quality of Life Task Force Makes Narcotics Arrest

On December 29, 2015 at approximately 6:25 p.m. Troopers from the Troop D-Danielson Quality of Life Task Force (QLTF) conducted narcotics surveillance on Mechanic Street in Danielson resulting in the arrest of one person.
On 12/29/15 troopers from the QLTF were conducting surveillance on Mechanic St., after numerous concerned citizens contacted troopers over the increased narcotic dealing in the area. QLTF Troopers observed a hand to hand narcotic transaction take place on the corner of Mechanic Street and Oak Street.
Troopers apprehended one of the individuals involved in the transaction before he departed the area. The male, James Blakley, was found to be in possession of crack cocaine that was pre-packaged for street sales. Troopers from the Killingly Resident State Trooper’s Office responded to the scene and took Blakley into custody.
Blakley was transported to Troop D where he was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine and released on a $10,000.00 non-surety bond pending his court date.
