State Police Make Child Pornography Arrest

Southbury, CT (December 4, 2015): A several month long child pornography investigation has concluded with the arrest of a Danbury man.
In June 2015, the CT State Police Computer Crimes Unit initiated an investigation after they received a complaint regarding suspected child pornography being saved to a cloud storage device. Through their investigation and the execution of search and seizure warrants, a suspect was identified.
In August 2015, two cell phones were seized from the suspect and were forensically examined. This examination of the cell phones resulted in the discovery of child pornography. An arrest warrant for the suspect was issued by Danbury Superior Court.
On December 4, 2015, the suspect turned himself in at CT State Police Troop A – Southbury. The suspect was processed, held on a $40,000 court-set bond and subsequently transported to Danbury Superior Court for arraignment.
