State Police Detectives Make Arrest in Thompson Untimely Death Investigation

Thompson, CT. (April 6, 2017): Connecticut State Police Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime arrested a Thompson man following an untimely death investigation.
On October 20, 2016 at approximately 12:19 a.m., troopers from Troop D – Danielson and EMS responded to Brandy Hill Road near the Thompson Rod and Gun Club for a report of an unresponsive female in a parked car.
Troopers and EMS arrived on scene and located the unresponsive female in the car, a Chevy Malibu, parked on Brandy Hill Road. EMS evaluated the unresponsive female and administered CPR.
The female was transported to Hubbard Hospital in Webster, MA. for further evaluation and treatment where she was later pronounced deceased.
Troopers initiated an investigation, and state police detectives from Eastern District Major Crime responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Through the course of the investigation it was learned that the female was provided with, and used heroin prior to her death. As EDMC detectives continued the investigation they identified David Gagnon as a suspect. Upon speaking with the Gagnon and witnesses, and concluding their investigation, detectives applied for and were granted an arrest warrant for Gagnon from the superior court.
On April 6, 2017 at approximately 8:00 a.m. David Gagnon (dob 3/17/78) of 1073 Quaddick Town Farm Road, Thompson turned himself in to Troop D on the active arrest warrant. Gagnon was fingerprinted, photographed and charged with one count of Sale of Narcotics. Gagnon was held on a $10,000.00 bond and transported to Danielson Superior Court for arrangement.
