State Police Detectives Investigate Theft of LED Truck Lights

ct-patchDanielson, CT.(April 19, 2016): Connecticut State Police detectives from Eastern District Major Crime are investigating multiple burglaries and larcenies that have occurred since 2013 at various State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation Facilities located throughout Eastern Connecticut.

Most of the incidents involved include forced entry into secured fencing equipment areas. Once entry is gained multiple LED truck lights, to include over the cab and dump body lighting, are removed.

Detectives also found that during this time frame additional LED lights were removed from police vehicles and additional DOT trucks while being mechanically serviced at a local Ford dealership, located in Putnam, CT.
