The Griswold Wolverines wrestling team went to Portland High School on Saturday to compete in the Highlander Tournament. Nineteen other schools competed; five were represented by a single competitor. Some of the notable wrestlers are:
- Jason Jacaruso – 1st in the 145 weight class
- Cory Carr- 2nd in the 220 weight class
- Tyler Bellisle- 3rd in the 99 weight class
- Vashil Patel- 3rd in the 160 weight class
- Johnny Falco- 3rd in the 195 weight class
- Cadan Odom- 4th in the 152 weight class
- Stephen Sims- 4th in the 182 weight class
- Shamari Richards- 4th in the 285 weight class
The Wolverines placed fourth out of the 20 competitors. The next match for Griswold is Wednesday when they take on Montville.
