The town of Griswold recently had decided to purchase and use security cameras throughout the town. The price was $14,451 with an additional $25 per month for usage. Funds were allocated for these cameras this fiscal year, allowing the security cameras to be placed at the Town Hall, the public works garage, the senior center, and parks supervised by the town’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Town officials agree that the cameras have been a great investment. Ryan Aubin, director of the Parks and Recreation Department, states that the cameras are used daily. The town is currently planning on purchasing more cameras; specifically, around the Town Hall, with some cameras getting a view of Main Street.
