Summer is in full swing, which means there are plenty of things for the whole family to enjoy within the next few weeks.

Saturday, July 28- Movie in the Park, 8:30pm. Movie title to be announced. To be followed by the Scout Encampment. Must be signed up in advance through griswoldrec.org, and be a registered scout to attend. Open to Cub, Boy, and Girl Scouts.

Sunday, August 5- 2nd annual Sunflower 6k. Runners will race through the sunflower fields at Buttonwood Farm.

Sunday, August 12- 2nd Annual Sunflower Stroll and Main Street Block Party, 2-8pm. Along North Main Street in Jewett City, there will be music, food, and other vendors selling goods.

Thursday, September 6- TJ Sumner’s Bike Night, 6-8pm. Food, Beer, Vendors, and a live concert featuring Red Light. Bike parking is reserved, and costs $5, cash only.

Saturday, September 8-  Matt’s Mission, 10am-2pm. Celebrating recovery from drug addiction, there will be speakers, food, vendors, and music.

Saturday September 22- Youthtopia, 11am-5pm. 30+ free activities for families.
