Rhode Island Man Busted For Growing Marijuana in Plainfield Home

On 04/27/18 at approximately 5:00 PM the Plainfield Police Department responded to 292 Pond Hill Road in the Moosup section of Plainfield to assist the Department of Children and Families. Upon officers arrival they spoke with the resident 36 year old Megan Levesque who advised officers that her ex-boyfriend 45 year old Jason Cole of Rhode Island had been growing marijuana in the residence. Officers located a grow operation off of the resident’s bedroom. The room was concealed and approximately 20 mature budding plants were located in the room with a watering and lighting system inside. After speaking further with the resident she advised officers of another hidden room in the basement garage. Located in the room was approximately 65 juvenile plants in various stages of growing as well as more lighting and watering systems. Multiple lights and plants were seized from the residence. At this time the case remains under investigation.
