The following is a press release sent from the town of Griswold:

TOWN OF GRISWOLD/BOROUGH OF JEWETT CITY NOTICE OF TAX COLLECTOR Payments will be received in the Tax Office, Griswold Town Hall, Jewett City, CT 06351 as follows: Monday-Wednesday 8:30 AM-4:00 PM, Thursday 8:30 AM-6:30 PM, and Friday 8:30 AM-1:00 PM. In addition, payments can be mailed to 28 Main Street, P.O. Box 369, Jewett City, CT 06351 or pay online at www.griswold-ct.org  by credit, debit or check. There is a convenience fee associated with online transactions and there is a 3-business day wait for a motor vehicle clearance as well. All taxes are due August 1, 2017. If payment is not received on or before August 31, 2017, the first installment and motor vehicle bills become delinquent and subject to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month or any fraction of a month or 18% per annum from the due date. A minimum of $2.00 interest will be charged for each delinquent tax bill and installment. The tax becomes delinquent and interest will be charged as of September 1, 2017.
