Preston, CT. (March 30, 2017): State Police Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime are investigating after a deceased body was located along the Quinebaug River. On March 30, 2017 at approximately 8:42 a.m. Troopers from Troop E-Montville were notified that a deceased body of a white male had been located along the shore of the Quinebaug River in the area of 72 Roosevelt Ave Extension in Preston, Connecticut. Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime (EDMC) responded to the scene and will assume the investigation. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting a post-mortem examination in order to determine cause and manner of death and to assist EDMC in identification of the male.
