Power Outages Blamed on Squirrels

The power outages experienced throughout the state recently are not weather related. Squirrels climbing onto power lines are knocking out power to thousands of Eversource customers. Currently there are about 1,500 outages statewide. Some of the outages are related to car accidents striking electric poles, but the big problem is from squirrels climbing poles.
