Post University and the Town of Griswold, Conn. have entered into a partnership to support the continuing education needs of town employees and residents, as a means of improving employee and resident retention and providing affordable access to higher education.
Post University will offer a 10 percent tuition grant to Griswold residents, and employees of the town and their dependents, who meet admissions requirements and enroll in any certificate or degree program. They may also enroll at Post University’s traditional, four-year main campus in Waterbury. Post University President Donald W. Mroz says he is, “very excited to welcome the residents and employees of the City of Griswold into the Post University family. Post’s mission is to provide students with the knowledge, personal, and experiences required to become leaders in their chosen careers, and partnerships like this recognize the importance of giving working professionals flexible methods to leverage their education and experience and accelerate their path to a college degree.”
Griswold First Selectman Kevin Skulczyck announced the relationship with, “great pride and joy,” saying, “This is an opportunity for Griswold residents to enjoy quality of life enhancement as they take advantage of furthering their education and career.”
