Plainfield Woman pulls 5 Grams of Crack Out Her Pants After Traffic Stop

On 12/04/2018 at approximately 4:15, members of the Troop D – Quality of Life Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation on North Main Street, Danielson. QLTF Troopers approached the vehicle and interviewed the driver and observed several indicators of criminal activity. During the interview, consent to search the vehicle was requested and granted. K9 Ambrie, a narcotic sniffing Labrador, was then deployed to sniff the operator of vehicle and she subsequently alerted to the odor of narcotics. The operator then reached into her pants and handed over approximately 5.0 grams of crack cocaine pre-packaged for sale. 33 year old Crystal Hewitt Of Plainfield was arrested and transported to Troop D. Hewitt was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine and Possession of Crack Cocaine With intent to sell. Hewitt was released on a $10,000 non/surety bond and is to appear in Danielson Superior Court on 12/19/2018 for the above charges.
