Plainfield Traffic Stop Nets Another Drug Arrest

On 04/18/18 at approximately 6:07 PM the Plainfield Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on a silver Chevy Cruz on Norwich Road near Better Val-U. The vehicle was being operated by David Colon (40 yrs of age) of Sterling, Connecticut. In the passenger seat was 47 year old Jamie Pagan of Plainfield. Both Pagan and Colon are known to the Plainfield Police Department. A consent to search the vehicle was obtained. A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 90 bags of heroin, and crack cocaine. Both Colon and Pagan were taken into custody. Colon was charged with Failure to Maintain Minimum Distance, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Crack with Intent to sell, Possession of Heroin with intent to sell and possession within 1500 feet of a school. Pagan was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Crack with Intent to sell, Possession of Heroin with intent to sell and possession within 1500 feet of a school. A state police K-9 assisted with the search of the vehicle which revealed approximately 10 more bags of heroin. Both Colon and Pagan will be arraigned at the Danielson Superior Court on 04/30/18.
