Plainfield School to Cost In Excess Of $1 Million to Repair Due to Fire

We are providing you all with the most recent press release and notice of a public press session at 3:30 PM today at Plainfield Memorial School.

Plainfield Public Schools have completes the first three stages of Fire/Police investigation for origin, insurance investigation for damage and loss and recovery investigation for cost and timeline.  It’s being estimated that the damage will exceed the cost of $1 Million and require another location for the approximately 300+ children that attend Plainfield Memorial School, which begins August 29th for students. It’s expected that the students would remain in the alternate location until the December 2018 Christmas break to allow for repairs to be completed.
