Plainfield Residents Meets State Marshall at Front Door with Shotgun

On November 20, 2019 at approximately 2:00 PM the Plainfield Police Department received a report from a Connecticut State Marshal regarding a disturbance involving a firearm. The State Marshal reported that while attempting to serve legal papers at a residence located on Lathrop Road in Plainfield he was confronted by a homeowner bearing a shotgun.
Members of the Plainfield Police Department subsequently responded to the area shutting down the roadway and making contact with the both the complainant and homeowner. Through investigation it was determined that no threat was made and no further altercation ensued. The incident was isolated and there is no public safety concern. No arrest was made.
