Plainfield Police to Participate in “Operation Clear Track”

On Tuesday, September 26, 2017 beginning at 10:00 AM the Plainfield Police Department will be participating in “Operation Clear Track”. Members of the department will be stationed at the railroad crossing located on Railroad Avenue in Plainfield handing out Amtrak-provided safety cards to motorists and pedestrians. In addition, the department will be providing the safety cards to the Plainfield Public Schools. The purpose of this operation is to raise public awareness in order to protect the community and promote safety at railroad crossings.

If traveling in the area of the railroad crossing be prepared to stop and be conscious of officers who are located outside of their vehicle. The Plainfield Police Department would like to thank the community for their participation.
