On July 10, 2019 at approximately 12:30 P.M., Plainfield Police Officers responded to a well-being incident in the Moosup Village of Plainfield in which a 20-year-old male was kicked out of his residence.  The complainant reported that the 20-year-old male had overstayed his welcome.  The complainant subsequently reported that he was now receiving messages that the 20-year-old male was going to harm himself.

Plainfield Officers then received information that the 20-year-old male was on the rooftop of the old Kaman Aerospace Company (South Main Street, Moosup).  Officers arrived and observed the male on the edge of the roof.  The road was immediately closed and medical personnel were summoned.  Plainfield Police Officers were able to talk with the male and convince him to come down.  The 20-year-old male was subsequently transported by American Legion Ambulance to the hospital for an emergency evaluation.
