On January 9, 2022 at approximately 4:20 P.M members of the Plainfield Police Department, Moosup Fire Department and KB Ambulance responded to a two car motor vehicle crash on High Street at the intersection of Squaw Rock Road in the Moosup section of Plainfield, Connecticut.
During the investigation it was determined that a gold Nissan Altima operated by Arlette Moran (age 65) of Brooklyn, Connecticut was traveling westbound on High Street coming to a stop when a dark colored Dodge pickup truck was traveling northbound on Squaw Rock Road and made a right hand turn onto High Street subsequently striking the front end of the Nissan Altima causing disabling damages. The Dodge pickup left the scene of the crash and is suspected to have heavy front end damage.
Moran was subsequently transported to the Plainfield Backus Emergency Care Center for suspected minor injuries sustained in the crash.
