Plainfield Police: Expelled Student Made Social Media Threats With A Gun

On May 17, 2019 at approximately 7:40 A.M., the Plainfield Police Department was notified of a threat to the Plainfield High School. The threat had been made by a juvenile student, who had recently been expelled from the Plainfield High School,through social media which was involving postings of him with a firearm. The post had been screen captured and sent to other students.    

The Plainfield Police Department immediately deployed officers to the High School. The suspect was quickly located not on school grounds and detained.  The suspect was ultimately arrested and charged with Breach of Peace 2nd Degree.

After further investigation the matter was brought before an Honorable Judge of the Superior Juvenile Court House Willimantic who determined there was Probable Cause and the suspect was Order Detained to the Hartford Juvenile Detention. The accused will be seen on May 21, 2019 at the Willimantic Superior Court for Juvenile Matters.
