Plainfield Police Execute Successful Drugs Search and Seizure Warrant

On January 22, 2020 at approximately 2:15 p.m., members of the Plainfield Police Department conducted a narcotics related search and seizure warrant at the residence of 239 Lake Street in the Moosup village of Plainfield after a lengthy investigation into the illicit sale of narcotics at the above residence.
As a result of the execution of the search and seizure warrant, the Plainfield Police Department arrested 33 year old Matthew Avery, of 239 Lake Street, Moosup, Connecticut for Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, two counts of Possession of Narcotics, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Avery was released on a $50,000.00 bond and is scheduled to appear at the Danielson Superior Court on February 3, 2020.
The Plainfield Police Department is urging all residents to report suspicious and/or narcotic activity to the anonymous tip line at 860-564-7065 or to any officer. The department would also like to thankthe community for its assistance into these investigations.
