Plainfield Motorcycle vs. Car Accident Sends 17 year old to Hospital

On May 23, 2016 at approximately 12:57 P.M., Officers from the Plainfield Police Department responded to a motorcycle versus car accident located on Norwich Road.
A 17 year old Juvenile of Melbourne, FL was operating a 2004 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling Northbound on Norwich Road. The accident occurred in front of the Plainfield Clothes Pin Laundry Mat when Celyn Dick, 69 years of age, the operator of a 2009 Red Chevrolet Cobalt exited the Clothes Pin Parking lot into the motorcycle’s lane of travel. A collision subsequently occurred.
The juvenile was transported to Backus Hospital located in Plainfield, Connecticut by American Legion Ambulance for suspected minor injuries.
The accident is currently under investigation.
