Plainfield Man Arrested in Killingly on Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

On Tuesday 01/07/2020 at approximately 6:42 pm, members of the Troop D – Quality of Life Task Force stopped a vehicle on Route 101 in Killingly for numerous motor vehicle violations. Troopers approached the car and identified the driver as 31 year old Paul Moran of Lillibridge Road in Plainfield. Troopers then placed Moran under arrest for driving under suspension. While patting Moran down, Troopers located a hypodermic needle and Moran admitted to having fentanyl in his vehicle. Troopers conducted a search of the vehicle with the assistance of K9 Ambrie and located crack cocaine and fentanyl in the vehicle which was seized as evidence. Moran was transported to Troop D where he was processed and charged with Possession of Narcotics, Operating Under Suspension, Operating an Unregistered Vehicle, Misuse of Plates and No Insurance. Moran was placed on a $5,000 bond and is to appear in Danielson Superior Court on 01/22/2020.
