While on patrol an Officer observed a white Nissan Maxima fail to come to a complete stop at a clearly posted stop sign and fail to use its turn signal while turning onto Kinney Hill Road in Plainfield.
A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Kinney Hill Road. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Francis. Based on Francis’s behavior the Officer became suspicious that Francis was in possession of illegal drugs.
The Officer asked Francis to exit the vehicle. The Officer and his K-9 Vail conducted a free air sniff of Francis’s person where K-9 Vail alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of Francis was conducted where the Officer located a plastic baggy containing crack cocaine in his boot.
Francis was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Failure to Obey Stop Sign and Failure to use Turn Signal. Francis was later released on a $10,000.00 bond and is scheduled to appear at Danielson Superior Court, on November 18, 2019.[adrotate banner="27"]
