Plainfield Head On Crash Send 2 to Hospital

On December 20, 2019 at approximately 4:49 p.m., members of the Plainfield Police Department, Plainfield Fire Department, American Legion Ambulance, Canterbury Ambulance, and American Ambulance responded to a three car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Norwich Road and Dow Road.

The crash occurred when a 2000 Ford Focus, operated by 45 year old Jamie York crossed the centerline traveling southbound into the northbound lane of traffic. The Focus struck the rear of a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, operated by 30 year old Matthew Taylor before striking a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, operated by 31 year old Denzel Washington head on.

York was transported to the Plainfield Backus Emergency Department for treatment of minor injuries by the American Legion Ambulance. Washington was transported to the Plainfield Backus Emergency Department by the Canterbury Ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.

Charges are pending for York.

This crash remains under investigation.
